About Us

Elsternwick Toddler Playgroup (ETP) is a safe, welcoming, heated or air conditioned play space for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers and their carers. 

Once you're an ETP member you are welcome to attend anytime during our opening hours. Once the child joins any carer or member of the family can bring them along.

We rent a space inside St John’s United Church, but are unaffiliated with any particular religious group. All are welcome.

Our play spaces offer a wide range of play experiences to suit young children from the ages of 0 to 5 years. This includes a variety of toys, activities, train sets, indoor cars, indoor play slides, a small soft play area, imaginary play equipment including a toy kitchen and dress ups, and a reading zone. 

We also have a stocked craft area with paint supplies, brushes and bibs; a messy play area and other craft supplies so you can allow your child to get creative (without having to deal with the mess at home) 

For the 3-9 month olds there is a mirror and play gym and other sensory stimulation toys.

We have a small fenced outdoor area with climbing frame, sandpit, toy kitchen, playhouse. 

We also have access to a kitchen, tea and coffee supplies, fridge and microwave, and kitchen equipment. There is a lunch table and high chairs also in the space. Barista coffee can be found across the road at Next of Kin.

Toilets have change tables and a supply of nappies / wipes in case of need.

Let’s not forget the parents, grandparents and carers - with comfy couches, tea, coffee and plenty to entertain the kids, playgroup is also a wonderful space for us to relax and enjoy some adult conversation, all within handy walking reach of the Elsternwick district shops, supermarket and library, and across the road from Hopetoun gardens.
